"last post of '08"
well, the reason why i miss 2008 so much, is because 2008 was great.
2008 was filled with so many "first times".
feelings, happiness sadness anger, were totally redefined in MARCUS'S terms.
honestly, at the start of the year, i was totally NOT looking forward to school. afraid to meet new people, afraid to make new friends. why? because 4 years of boys school made me afraid of girls haha.
first day of school on february the 20th, was the epic day, i thought my class was some anti-social shit class. surprise surprise :) although the only adjectives that appear ever so very brightly in my mind until now are "gentlemenly GENSEN", "rough RYAN", and "contradicting CAROLINE", i love each and everyone of you. i didnt even have a chance to say "i hate going to class". every experience was valuable, sleeping in lectures, going crazy in class, tickling siyuan with clement, dota-ing with the usual gang, skipping lecture to play chess with gensen, chessing every break time, cheering for edouard in his tennis matches from our classroom, singing with edmund and the girls, gaying with hanif, inter-class bball and many many more. kept inside my heart, these memories will be, away from the pressence of time, away from the frictions of reality.
i will never ever forget, it was just because of one free period from RAGANATHAN, that 1T31, became 1T31.
i wont be afraid to admit, that the one thing i really hated this year, was the conflict with zhengyi, i treated him as my very very good friend, nevertheless, wrong decisions will be made throughout our lives. im still unsatisfied with how the conflict ended, only one way, but i shall forgive, and never forget. because this - is how i grew up.
most people accuse DotA of being a study killer. but i'd say, DotA brought the class together :D
the birthdays celebrated throughout the year, and the class chalet, are things i've never done in my school life before. i really have to thank T31, each and every one of you, in making 2008, a fufilling year for me, er shi wo da kai yan jian.
next, the clique, dan jf zh xy jy and gina. wow, another year huh. kinda sick of prata, lets switch to some other coffeeshop? haha. the prata shop will close one day wad, must think of substitutes now lololol. come to think of it, we never really had a chalet before, although we held so many thousand of bbqs at my house hahaha. next one next one. okay bro.. LOL.
to my family, "thank you daddy", "thank you uncle danny", "AH MA! GAM SIAH LAH!".
2008 passed really fast. many holidays, but much more work to do. but surprisingly, somehow, everyone survived.
may everyone continue to prosper in the year of the cow, 2009. good luck, straight from my heart, to everyone taking the A levels this year.
